I have added the Homepage for the design on this weeks blog so people will get a better overall impression of the site. I was reluctant to add a banner because I didnt want anything to clash with the work on the site.
The image on the homepage will be more polished and less pixelated I have just edited this quickly to give the idea of what I will design.

I understand what you are saying about not adding the banner, now that I see it in perspective with your interior page I understand your concept better. I think it looks good.
I like how you have done the links at the bottom too.
Yes I think showing the screenshot of the homepage has made it easier to understand too.
I thought that your name would not be mentioned anywhere which would be a big disadvantage.
